About the Role
About The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Wastewater Treatment & Bio-Resources team as a Technical Records & Projects Coordinator (known internally as a Knowledge Technician), based at Bran Sands.
This is a varied and rewarding role where you’ll work closely with the Wastewater Treatment Manager, playing a key part in ensuring technical documentation and records are accurately managed and maintained across SharePoint and our dedicated Technical Library. Alongside this, you’ll support a range of internal projects focused on improving efficiency, driving innovation, and enhancing asset performance, helping to deliver continuous improvement across our operations.
This role offers a great balance of office-based and hands-on work. You’ll be actively involved on site, carrying out routine inspections, supporting the implementation of health and safety standards, and contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the facility. You’ll also play an important role in developing and implementing records management processes, including the transfer of asset data into corporate systems and maintaining key regulatory documentation such as written schemes for PLVE inspections, MCERT flow meters, and CHPQA compliance.
If you enjoy combining technical administration with practical, site-based activity, and want to play a meaningful role in supporting essential wastewater services, this is a great opportunity to make a real impact within a supportive and forward-thinking team.
About You
If you have proven experience in document management and hold an HNC in a relevant subject, or are qualified through hands-on experience, we’d love to hear from you. You’ll bring a strong background from the water industry or a similar process-driven environment, along with a solid commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety. An understanding of the regulations, legislation, and environmental considerations that impact wastewater assets will be key to your success.
You’ll be highly organised and confident in planning your own workload, able to adapt quickly and reprioritise when demands change. Your attention to detail will set you apart, ensuring that records are accurate, processes are followed, and nothing is overlooked, particularly when it comes to compliance and safety. Experience with AutoCAD and a keen eye for detail will be highly beneficial in supporting the technical aspects of the role.
Strong communication skills are essential, as is a practical, hands-on approach and a natural ability to problem-solve. You’ll be comfortable using a variety of technologies and applications, and able to spot trends, identify issues, and take action to improve processes. Experience working with structured procedures and equipment is important, and any familiarity with water or wastewater operations will be an added advantage.
A full UK driving licence is required, as you’ll be travelling between sites as part of your role. If you’re looking for an opportunity to make a real difference, supporting essential services, safeguarding the environment, and contributing to the communities we serve, this could be the perfect role for you.
